Countdown >from 1982<
From 1982 Carol has been co-presenting Countdown on Channel 4. This was her first ever TV appearance. Countdown was one of Channel 4's first ever programmes.

Take Nobody's Word For It >1987 & 1989<
Carol was a co-presenter on this science show. Series 1 was shown on January 1987 with a second series following in 1989.

So We Bought A Computer >1987<
Carol devised, wrote, and presented this Ch4 programme, shown in July 1987. It was about people using their computers for the first time.

TV-am's: Wide Awake Club >1988 - ????<
presented a science slot on the show

The Software Show >1989<
This was a one off show, which ran from 9.30 to mid day ish on one sunday morning showcasing what you can do with all the latest computers and software arround at the time. A two hour update at 11.00pm was 1989.

From 1990 Carol was a presenter on this childrens programme.

Postcards From Down Under >1991<
This was a series of 5 programmes which showed us what Carol got up to during a recent trip to Australia. She visited Queensland and the Northern Territories.

She was the presenter of this ITV programme in December.

The Times World Chess Championship >1993<
This live show was where two players battled out for the championship title with Carol as the anchor woman.

Chess Special >1994<
In this show Carol, with the help of a team of Grandmasters, played chess against Short and Kasparov for a special Channel 4 programme broadcast in January 1994. Unfortunately, Carol and her team lost!

Breaking Glass >1994<
Carol was the lead presenter of this show about woman at work, shown in May.

Find A Fortune aired on the 16 December 1998. Carol hosted this live, interactive show which informed lucky viewers of unexpected windfalls. This was a one off special.

Better Homes >1999-2001<
A home improvement challenge series presented by Carol, in which Carol's team of designers redesign nearly a full home.They change as much as they can and are given 3 and half days to complete the job. The houses are valued beforethey are redesigned. The house which has risen in value, when work is complete, the most wins. They win a holiday.

Dream House >1999<
This is a brand new 6-part sister series to Tomorrow's World, transmitted for 6 weeks from 6th January 1999. In this show Carol guides us through the building of a house of the future. The house will be eco-friendly and high-tech for the Millennium, using the lastest in intelligent technology, green building and eco-friendly materials. In the last programme, a real family will move in and put the house and its technology to the test. They will be set tasks including hosting a dinner party for Carol and the team, using a `smart’ cooker and ordering all the food on the home shopping network.

Give A Pet A Home >1999<
On this show, broadcast over the May Bank Holiday(1 to 3 May), Carol teamed up with Matthew Kelly tohost the 3-day appeal to help hundreds of animals. The show linked up with some animal rescue centres throughout the country, and featured stories about animal cruelty. Many other TV stars joined in the appealsincluding Johnny Vaughan, Kelly Brook and Judy Finnigan.

Find A Fortune >1999 - 2000<
After the success of the pilot programme ITV commissioned a full 6 series of Find A Fortune. This began on the 1/8/99 and a second series began July 2000. The programme sets out to help the studio audience and viewers at home claim property, share certificates, legacies and other windwalls they know nothing about. Co-stars are Nick Knowles, Jane Harvey and Richard Orford

Tested To Destruction >1999<
Series about product testing presented by Carol. She tested many products including cruise missiles, teddy bears, jumbo jets blown up, people carriers crashed, bullet-resistant glass, ejector seats, and much, much more.

Better Gardens >2000<
In this program [a spin-off from Better Homes] the design team are given £7000 to spend on redesigning somebodies garden.

The Pride Of Britain Awards >2000 - 2002<
Carol hosts this awards ceremony marking the achievements of ordinary British people who have shown amazing courage or bravery, or who have been an inspiration to others. Guest apppearences by PM Tony Blair,Richard Branson, Diana Ross and Robbie Williams.

Day Of Promise >2000<
Carol co-hosts this program with Eamonn Holmes. Shown on Bank Holiday Monday (1st May). It was part of ITV's Year of Promise. The unique day of programming that brought the campaign to a climax and reflected and defined the spirit of the time.

Who Wants To Be a Millionaire Celebrity Special >2000<
Broadcast on 1st May 2000 at 9pm. Chris Tarrant hosted the special charity edition of the hit show as part of the Day of Promise. It saw Carol Vorderman and Kirsty Young racking their brains in a bid to walk away with sizeable cheques for their favourite causes, Express Linkup, which offers computer access to hospitalised children, and Centrepoint, a national organisation to help the homeless.

This show is very similar to the BBC's "This Is Your Life". Carol talks the star through his/her life story. A sort of biography type show.
